So I was just picking up around the house and grabbed an empty Kleenex box off the coffee table. I looked down and wait a minute. Those look like 1 inch squares.

Actually, they were 1 1/8 inch but close enough. I went to the office/gamer cave and began cutting away. I got enough pieces to do 2 4×4 tiles and two 2×2 tiles plus a few scraps that I could use for details on other pieces. I broke out the PVA glue and the Dollar Tree foamcore and here you go.

I did paint the edges but all in all this was basically free. So the moral of this story is to think about what you’re throwing away.
